CME Program and Slide Decks
Thrombosis Scientific Poster Session and Clinical Update
This accredited program is based on presentations given on Sunday, December 9, 2007 at the Atlanta Marriott Marquis Hotel, Atlanta, Georgia. Clinicians from the American Society of Hematology Annual Meeting and Exposition (ASH) were in attendance.
Please select the Presentations tab from above to view the accredited video and slide presentations. We are also offering the opportunity to view and download the faculty-selected posters (20) and abstract booklet. They can be accessed here.
PURPOSE STATEMENT
Given the ongoing developments in the management of thrombosis, it is critical to provide education regarding recently presented or published trial results. This CME program is an ideal forum for updating and informing the hematology community on venous thromboembolism prevention and treatment, considered crucial for optimum patient care. Our expert faculty selected 20 clinical trials, which have been presented or published at recent meetings; these trials provide critical new data and serve as the clinical foundation for discussion of new evidence in the management of thrombosis. The trials include recent data on new oral anticoagulants, such as direct inhibitors of Factor Xa and direct thrombin inhibitors.
