CME Program

Merging the Future of Orthopaedics & Thrombosis Prevention: Pearls and Pitfalls in Total Joint Reconstruction & DVT Prevention

This accredited program is based on presentations given on Friday, March 7, 2008 at the JW Marriott Hotel, San Francisco, California.  Orthopaedic surgeons from the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons Annual Meeting (AAOS) were in attendance.

Please select the Presentations tab from above to view the accredited video and slide presentations. In order to receive credit, the CME test and evaluation must be completed and returned via fax or sent via email to Medical Education Resources, Inc.  We are also offering the opportunity to view and download the meeting booklet, which can be accessed here.

PURPOSE STATEMENT
Given the ongoing developments in total joint replacement and the management of thrombosis, it is critical to provide education regarding recently presented or published findings.  This CME program is an ideal forum for updating and informing the orthopaedic surgeon community on the current status of venous thromboembolism prevention, hip resurfacing and MIS procedures, and alternate bearing surfaces; all of which are considered crucial for optimum patient care. Our expert faculty present a timely report on methods associated with total joint reconstruction and the latest perspectives on oral anticoagulation of orthopaedic patients.
